My, this is not a very French-looking cake! But it is what I came across to celebrate this blog's three-year anniversary.I'm actually a little late on this: my first post was on December 23rd, 2005. And I have to admit I have struggled with this blog.
I think I have a good concept: writing about the reality of French cooking, shopping, and the everyday struggles of being a working mom who likes all types of food, and French food in particular.
I had hoped to be prolific with Cuisine Quotidienne. After all, that's what the name implies: everyday cooking, so everyday blogging. And at one point I was churning out quite a few posts -- in March 2006, I posted 18 times! Short posts they were, and I was happy with any comment that came in.
Now I am taking the opposite approach. Maybe only a post a week, but one I take a little time with. I like my "ABCs of everyday French cooking" concept too.
As I celebrate three years of Cuisine Quotidienne, I still feel hopeful that someday, I will find my pace with this blog.
Bon appétit!

Happy Anniversary; blogs are funny things, aren't they? I love reading yours.
Happy Birthday!! Keep up the great work. :)
Congratulations Betty! I hope you have many more years of blogging and many friends.
Happy Birthday Betty's site. I like the cake even if it isn't French looking. I know that just feeding a family good food every day of the week is work enough - to write about it too is a labor of love. Bravo.
Joyeux anniveraire à la CQ et à Betty. J'ai hâte de faire d'autres trouvailles dans le domaine de l'art culinaire:-)
Happy anniversary.
I have linked to your blog in my food blog.
Once a month is a little too scarse for my taste, but it's YOUR blog, after all.
Wishing you happy blogversary.
spaced, I didn't say once a MONTH, I said once a WEEK. Once a month would be a little light, as you say.
Dearest Betty, congratulations!! I'm in awe of your blog's longevity and your tenacity in pursuing it. I kind of went off the rails on mine, but as always, you've inspired me to recharge and return with a vengeance. ;-)
I think your idea of taking a more leisurely approach to your blog is a brilliant one. It should never be a chore, otherwise you'll end up resenting it. I, for one, am looking forward to watching your blog grow and blossom in 2009.
Salut,
Marjorie

Happy Third Anniversary on cuisine Quotidienne!! I know that you are one of the best bloggers around and I enjoy your articles and comments very much. You are an excellent writer--keep it up for many more years.
Love and Happy New Year--an Olympia Fan near OHS
Happy Third Anniversary...
And Happy New Year!
Finding a pace is not always easy...
Whatever works for you Betty - my blogging has really slipped since I started in March 2005 - I used to manage almost everyday ... now some months it's a couple of posts. I think that knowing the blog is there when I need to prattle/shout/share a laugh is enough for me. So, to repeat myself ... whatever works for you!
p.s. I like your "ABCs of everyday French cooking" concept too - it could be never ending ... get around to Z and start again seasonally. Hang on what starts with Z in French cooking?
Congrats, Betty!
I still have not found my own pace...
Congrats on three years, Betty! In the blogosphere, that's like 12 years.
Thank you to all.
I think food blogging is one of the toughest types. As I have posted before, there is so much else involved: food shopping, cooking, taking pictures, rewriting or at least referring to the recipes, linking to cookbooks. It is fun but for the moment I don't have time to do it as full blast as I would like. But I will still carry on!
Madeleine, I didn't know there were "blog years," kind of like "dog years!" Now I feel even better about the double three-year accomplishment!
Three years already! That means I am about 6 months behind you. Congrats
Obviously I could not recall posting that earlier message, Betty. It's been a tough time lately. Details withheld.
