Or a touch of cuisine vérité. One of the minor dramas of my life in France is that I have never had a spacious kitchen. Somehow, even though we've always lived in small-to-medium-sized towns, I've always ended up with a Parisian-sized cooking space.
This is partly my own fault. Because of my total lack of interest in the plans for the house we had built here in Aveyron, I lost out on a few square meters of kitchen. I do have a nice deep-blue stove, but things get a little crowded on it.
The photo above shows you a simple Sunday lunch being put together. The oranges have nothing to do with the meal, but I didn't have anywhere else to put them!

"Sunday Stovetop" -- I like it! -- sounds like the potential title for a recurring feature on CQ!
Well I like the title, but I'm not sure about the "recurring feature" idea. I actually do a lot of Sunday cooking in the oven, so the photos might get kind of boring, LOL!
Coming soon to a blog near you... It's the CQ Oven-Cam, featuring hour after hour of pitch-dark video... except on Sundays when the action really heats up!
Double LOL! I bet somebody will invent it someday, actually...

What a lovely, tidy stovetop!
You call this tidy, Mimi? Someone, somewhere, calls some part of my house tidy?
Thanks for making my day...
LOVE LOVE LOVE that photo! Yes, I agree, "sunday stovetop" would be a great recurring feature!
I adore the blue stove!
The kitchen in my extremely old house is the size of a closet. Groan.
